Wastewater Franchise Agreement
Elector approval for Bylaw No. 494, Wastewater Franchise Agreement Approval Bylaw, 2011 was not received under the alternate approval process that closed on June 27, 2011.
At the August 8, 2011 Council meeting, Council was presented with four options for consideration regarding the operating and maintenance of the sewer and wastewater collection system. Council directed staff to negotiate a five (5) year operating and maintenance agreement with EPCOR.
At the September 12, 2011 Council meeting, Council directed staff to executive the five-year operating agreement with EPCOR effective October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2016.
