Operations
The Sooke Fire Rescue Service provides emergency services to all areas within the District of Sooke, as well as assisting our neighbouring communities through established Mutual Aid Agreements.
The District of Sooke is currently seeing rapid growth and development. This challenge is being met eagerly by our dedicated members. Our annual emergency call volume continues to steadily increase. Members of Sooke Fire Rescue Service attend over 800 calls annually.
The services we are providing constantly evolve to meet the needs of our community. Firefighters respond to much more than just fires. In fact, structure fires only make up a small portion of our emergency calls.
