Training

The Sooke Fire Rescue Service maintains a proactive approach to firefighter training and safety. All members of the Department are trained to NFPA Standards, with many achieving Professional Qualifications in NFPA 1001 Level 2.

On a regular basis we will host specialized courses at one of our Fire Stations. These specialized courses can include Hazardous Materials Training, Rope Rescue Training, Confined Space Training, Leadership Training, Driver/Operator Training and much, much more. In order to effectively mitigate any situation we may be called to, we must ensure we are prepared to safely and efficiently handle the emergency.
