Business Directory - Coming October 2026
A new online Business Directory is coming to the District of Sooke website in October 2026.
The directory will make it easier for residents, visitors and other businesses to discover the products, services and experiences available in Sooke.
Local businesses are invited to submit their information now to be considered for inclusion when the directory launches. To be included in the initial launch, please complete the form below before September 15, 2026.
Help Build Sooke’s Business Directory
Sooke is home to a diverse and growing business community—from shops, restaurants and tourism operators to trades, professional services, home-based businesses and emerging entrepreneurs.
By participating in the directory, businesses can:
- Increase their visibility;
- Help customers find local products and services;
- Connect with residents, visitors and other businesses; and
- Showcase the variety of businesses operating in Sooke.
Together, we can create a useful resource that supports local connections and celebrates Sooke’s business community.
Who Can Submit?
The Business Directory is open to businesses that hold a current, valid District of Sooke business licence.
Eligible businesses may include:
- Retail stores and restaurants;
- Professional and personal services;
- Trades and contractors;
- Home-based and mobile businesses;
- Arts, culture and recreation providers;
- Tourism and accommodation operators; and
- Non-profit social enterprises that operate as licensed businesses.
Businesses must maintain a valid business licence for their listing to remain in the directory. Businesses without a current District of Sooke business licence must obtain or renew their licence before submitting the Business Directory Submission Form.
What Happens After I Submit?
The District will review submitted information before it is added to the directory. Staff may contact the person identified on the form if additional information or clarification is required.
Submitting the form does not guarantee inclusion. Directory listings are intended for informational purposes and do not represent an endorsement by the District of Sooke.
Already Submitted?
There is no need to submit your business more than once.
To request a change to previously submitted information, contact the District and include your business name and the details that need to be updated.
Directory Launch
The Sooke Business Directory is expected to launch in October 2026.
Additional information will be shared through the District website and communications channels as the launch approaches.
