Committees and Boards

The Board of Variance is an independent body that hears appeals related to the Zoning Bylaw and certain land use decisions. Property owners may apply to the Board if they believe a regulation creates undue hardship, or if they are seeking a minor variance to accommodate unique site conditions.

The Board does not have the authority to change zoning or land use designations — its role is limited to considering site-specific variances within the scope of provincial legislation and local bylaws.
