Highway 14
Highway 14 (Sooke Road) connects the District of Sooke to Langford, Victoria, and communities further west, including Shirley, Jordan River and Port Renfrew. It also forms part of the Pacific Marine Circle Route, a scenic tourism corridor linking southern Vancouver Island through Sooke, Cowichan Lake, and the Malahat region.
Highway 14 is a provincially managed highway and is not within the District of Sooke’s jurisdiction. Responsibility for the highway lies with the Ministry of Transportation and Transit, which oversees:
- Road maintenance and repairs

- Advance public transit and active transportation connectivity
Highway 14 is identified in the District’s Transportation Master Plan and Official Community Plan as a key corridor for growth, safety, and mobility.
