Businesses and Organizations Invited to Join the 2026 Sooke Santa Parade
It may be early in October, but planning is already underway for one of Sooke’s favourite holiday traditions - the Sooke Santa Parade, hosted by the Sooke Lions Club.
This year’s celebration takes place Sunday, December 6, 2026, with festivities beginning at 4:00 p.m. and the parade kicking off at 5:00 p.m.
Local businesses, community organizations, service groups, schools and other groups are invited to take part and help bring holiday cheer to the streets of Sooke.
While the holidays may still feel a little way off, organizing a community parade takes considerable coordination. Early registrations help the incredible volunteers behind the event plan staging, parade order, traffic management and other logistics to help make the evening safe, organized and enjoyable for participants and spectators alike.
Groups can participate with a vehicle or float, or as a walking group.
Parade Route
The parade will begin at Journey Middle School and travel along Throup Road, to Church Road, onto Wadams Way, and conclude at Townsend Road.
At the end of the parade, pedestrian participants will disperse near the Sooke Family Resource Centre at Wadams/Townsend while vehicle participants will continue to the designated dispersal area at Otter Point Road.
Residents are encouraged to keep the route in mind when choosing a place to watch the parade. Additional information for spectators, including traffic impacts and event-day reminders, will be shared closer to December 6.
Register Your Group
Businesses and organizations interested in participating are encouraged to submit their parade application early to help the Sooke Lions Club and its volunteers prepare for another successful community celebration.
