Celebrate Halloween with Bonfire and Fireworks at Camp Barnard1
A much-loved Halloween tradition returns to the Sooke region this October, bringing families, neighbours and volunteers together for an evening of community celebration at Camp Barnard.
On Saturday, October 31, the Otter Point Firefighters Association will once again welcome families to Camp Barnard, 3202 Young Lake Road, for its Halloween Bonfire and Fireworks.
The free, family-friendly evening runs from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., with a bonfire, hot chocolate, hot dogs and Halloween candy bags for children. At 7:30 p.m., eyes turn to the sky for a fireworks display over Young Lake.
The event offers families another way to enjoy Halloween together while connecting with neighbours from across the region. It also reflects the strong relationships and spirit of cooperation that help bring community events like this to life.
The District of Sooke extends its thanks to the Otter Point Firefighters Association and everyone involved in organizing this year’s celebration.
Whether joining friends around the bonfire, bringing children out in costume or gathering to watch the fireworks, residents are invited to be part of this longstanding community tradition.
