District of Sooke and Sooke Lions Celebrate Community Generosity and Holiday Spirit

The District of Sooke and the Sooke Lions Club are pleased to share that this past weekend’s festive favourites - Breakfast with Santa and the Sooke Santa Parade - brought joy to the community and raised $1,566.20 in support the Sooke Food Bank.

These events are made possible through a strong partnership between the District and the Sooke Lions, whose dedicated volunteers form the “pride” behind the magic. From flipping pancakes to coordinating parade floats, the Lions’ volunteer power helps deliver the holiday cheer Sooke residents look forward to each year.

Mayor of Sooke Maja Tait expressed her gratitude for the teamwork that brings these celebrations to life sharing, “Our community shines during the holidays, and that’s thanks to the partnership between the District and the Sooke Lions, along with the many volunteers and staff who make these events possible,” said Mayor Tait. “We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who contributes their time, talent, and holiday spirit to create memorable experiences for families across Sooke.”

The District of Sooke and the Sooke Lions extend warm thanks to all residents who attended, donated, and helped spread festive cheer. Plans are already roaring ahead for next year!
