District of Sooke Opens 2026 Community Grant Program Intake (March 1-April 8, 2026)
The District of Sooke is pleased to announce that applications for the 2026 Community Grant Program will be accepted from March 1 to April 8, 2026.
The Community Grant Program provides up to $5,000 per organization per calendar year to support new, project-based initiatives that benefit Sooke residents. The program offers seed funding to help local non-profit organizations, charities, and community groups launch innovative ideas, expand programming, and respond to emerging community needs.
Funding is competitive and subject to Council approval. In most years, demand exceeds available funding, and applicants are encouraged to request only the amount necessary to deliver their proposed initiative.
Eligible projects must:
- Primarily benefit Sooke residents
- Take place within the District of Sooke
- Represent a new initiative or meaningful evolution of an existing program
- Demonstrate clear community benefit and feasibility
In addition to direct financial contributions, limited in-kind support may be available, subject to operational capacity.
Applications must be submitted online by April 8, 2026. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
