District of Sooke Sharing 2026 Priorities Survey on Behalf of the Sooke Region Food Systems Network

The District of Sooke is pleased to share a community survey on behalf of the Sooke Region Food Systems Network (SRFSN) to help shape the Network’s 2026 priorities and longer-term direction.

The SRFSN is seeking input from individuals and organizations involved in or connected to the local food system across the Sooke Region, from East Sooke to Port Renfrew.

The survey is intended for:

  • Farmers and food producers (including crop growers, livestock producers, and fishers/harvesters)
  • Food processors and small-scale manufacturers
  • Retailers, restaurants, and market vendors
  • Non-profit and community organizations
  • Educators and researchers
  • Local government and public agency representatives
  • Indigenous community representatives and partner organizations
  • Youth, students, and emerging leaders in the food system

Whether you are directly involved in food production, food access, education, processing, retail, or policy — or are simply interested in strengthening the local food system — your input is welcomed.

Survey responses will help identify realistic, high-impact actions for 2026 and inform longer-term planning. The findings will be presented to the Network at its next meeting on April 9, 2026, at Sooke Municipal Hall (Council Chambers), where priority actions for the coming year will be discussed.

The survey will remain open until Sunday, March 29, 2026.

Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to participate and help shape a connected, resilient, and community-led food system for the Sooke Region.
