Flags Lowered to Half-Mast in Mourning Following Tragedy at CFB Wainwright

The District of Sooke is lowering flags at Sooke Municipal Hall to half-mast following the tragedy at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright, Alberta, on October 17, 2026.

Flags will remain at half-mast until further notice as a mark of respect and remembrance. Our community joins people across Canada in mourning.
