Flail Mowing and Ditch Clearing Continuing on District Roads (2)

The District of Sooke’s annual roadside maintenance program is continuing with flail mowing and ditch-clearing work on several local roads.

Crews will continue working along Grant Road West for part of this week. Work will then move to the following areas later this week and into next week:

• Otter Point Road South
• Helgesen Road
• Phillips Road

Single-lane alternating traffic will be in place when required to provide a safe working area for crews and equipment. Drivers should watch for traffic-control personnel, follow posted directions and allow additional travel time when passing through active work areas.

Flail mowing helps manage roadside vegetation, maintain sightlines and support the effective operation of roadside drainage systems.

The District appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and road users while this annual maintenance work is completed.
