Help Fill a Fire Truck: Support Local Families This Holiday Season!

This holiday season, the Sooke Fire Department invites the community to join in the spirit of giving at the annual Fill a Fire Truck event, taking place Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7, 2025.

Firefighters and volunteers will be stationed in front of Village Foods and Western Foods from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day, collecting non-perishable food items, and cash donations to support local families in need.

All donations will go directly to the Sooke Food Bank, helping ensure everyone in our community can enjoy a warm and joyful holiday season.

“Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference for our neighbours. It’s incredible to see how this community comes together year after year to lend a hand,” says Paul Bohemier, Event Volunteer.

Community members are encouraged to stop by, say hello to local firefighters, and help make the season brighter for others.
