Light Up for Santa: Community Spirit Set to Shine Bright at the 2025 Sooke Santa Parade!

Get ready to celebrate the holiday season with the Sooke Santa Parade, happening on Sunday, December 7, 2025! This year’s theme, “Sooke Light Up for Santa,” invites everyone to come together and share in the sparkle, joy, and community spirit of the holidays. 

Festivities will kick off at 4:00 pm at the Vancouver Island Regional Library with pre-parade activities, including: 

• Complimentary hot chocolate and hot dogs
• Photos with Santa
• A craft station for kids
• Live musical performances 

The parade begins at 5:00 pm, following the route introduced in 2024: 

• Leaving from Journey Middle School on Throup Road
• Travelling along Throup Road to Church Road
• Continuing from Church Road to Wadams Way, dispersing just before Townsend Road on Wadams Way 

Foot participants in the parade will disperse North on Townsend, while parade vehicles will continue onto Otter Point Road. 

For those attending, be sure to arrive early to enjoy the pre-parade fun and find a great viewing spot along the route! 

Road closures will be in effect from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm (see below for details). 

As we celebrate together, please remember to leave no trace - take your garbage and recycling with you at the end of the event to help keep Sooke beautiful and our streets clean for everyone to enjoy.
