Mount Jack Wildfire Burning Outside of Sooke Boundary

The District of Sooke is aware of the wildfire at Mount Jack. The fire is located well outside the District’s boundaries and poses no danger to residences in Sooke at this time.

The District will continue to monitor the situation and provide support to the BC Wildfire Service if required.

Residents are reminded that the fire danger rating is currently EXTREME and campfires are prohibited within the District of Sooke.
