Reminder: 2026 Community Grant Program – Apply by April 8

The District of Sooke is reminding local non-profit organizations, charities, and community groups that applications for the 2026 Community Grant Program are open until April 8, 2026.

This program provides up to $5,000 per organization to support new, project-based initiatives that benefit Sooke residents.

Funding is intended to help launch innovative ideas, expand programming, and respond to emerging community needs. Projects must:

• Primarily benefit Sooke residents
• Take place within the District of Sooke
• Represent a new initiative or meaningful expansion of an existing program
• Demonstrate clear community benefit and feasibility

Funding is competitive and subject to Council approval, and applicants are encouraged to request only what is needed to deliver their project.

Applications must be submitted online by April 8, 2026. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
