Repair Café Returns to Sooke – With a Bike Fixer on October 5!

Wednesday, October 1, 2025 – Zero Waste Sooke and community volunteers are once again hosting the popular Repair Café at the Sooke Community Hall on Sunday, October 5, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Repair Cafés are grassroots, volunteer-driven events where community members help each other fix broken items, keep usable goods out of the landfill, and share practical skills. This time, Sooke’s Repair Café is excited to welcome a bike fixer, ready to assist with tune-ups, brake adjustments, and minor bicycle repairs.

In addition to bicycles, participants can bring small appliances, clothing, toys, and other household items in need of care. Skilled volunteers will be on hand to guide repairs and share know-how, so everyone learns something new while keeping items in use.
