Saturday August 15, Traffic Impacts Expected - Tour de Victoria

Victoria - Approximately 2,000 cyclists aged 2 to 87 will be participating in the 15th annual Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The cyclists will be riding one of 11 distances: 160, 140, 100, 80, 60, 45, 30, 15, or for children: 200m - 800m, 3km or 6.5km. Registration is open until Friday, Aug.14.
Traffic will be impacted with periodic delays through some neighbourhoods of Victoria, View Royal, Colwood, Langford, Metchosin, Sooke, Highlands, North Saanich, Saanich and Oak Bay. We thank the municipalities and all road users for their support and patience.
Ryder Hesjedal was the first Canadian to win a Grand Tour, the 2012 Giro d’Italia, and nowadays encourages people of all ages, all abilities and on all types of bikes to join the Tour de Victoria, which is not a race but, instead, is a ride that showcases the beauty of Greater Victoria.
