Seedy Saturday 2026 Photo Gallery

The District of Sooke was pleased to support another successful Seedy Saturday, bringing together gardeners, growers, and community members to celebrate local food, seed saving, and sustainable gardening.

Held at Sooke Community Hall, the event welcomed a steady stream of visitors throughout the day. Attendees browsed seeds and seedlings, connected with local vendors and organizations, and learned more about growing food and supporting pollinators. From experienced gardeners to families just starting out, Seedy Saturday offered something for everyone.

Visitors explored a lively marketplace featuring:

  • Seed and plant vendors
  • Local artisans and food producers
  • Gardening supplies and compost products
  • Community organizations and educational resources
  • Family-friendly activities

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who helped make the event possible — including the dedicated volunteers, vendors, community partners, and attendees who contributed to the welcoming atmosphere and shared their knowledge and passion for gardening.

Special thanks to the Sooke Region Food CHI Society, the lead organization behind Seedy Saturday, whose leadership and coordination continue to make this beloved community event possible each year.

Events like Seedy Saturday help strengthen Sooke’s growing culture of local food, sustainability, and community connection.
