Sooke Residents on Septic Systems Invited to Attend Septic Savvy Workshop – March 8
The Capital Regional District (CRD) and the 606 Water Group are pleased to extend an invitation to Sooke residents to attend a Septic Savvy workshop and learn more about protecting and maintaining residential septic systems.
This free residential septic system workshop will take place on Sunday, March 8, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Juan de Fuca Local Area Services Building in Otter Point, located at 3-7450 Butler Rd.
For many homes in Sooke and the surrounding area, septic systems are an essential part of household infrastructure. Understanding how these systems function, and how to properly maintain them, can help homeowners avoid costly repairs, extend the life of their system, and protect local groundwater and the surrounding environment.
During the session, participants will learn:
- How residential septic systems function
- Best practices for routine care and maintenance
- Common issues that can lead to system failure
- Practical steps to protect a significant household investment
The event is free to attend, and light refreshments will be provided. Drop-ins are welcome, though residents are encouraged to register in advance.
