Spooky Pumpkin Walk Brings a Glow to Pineridge Park
Tuesday, October 21, 2025 – The Friends of Sooke Parks Society invites the community to light up the night at the Spooky Pumpkin Walk on Saturday, November 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Pineridge Park, located along the 6600 block of Rhodonite Drive.
Families are encouraged to bring their carved pumpkins to the park anytime after 1:00 p.m. and return after dark to enjoy the magical, glowing path of jack-o’-lanterns through the forest. This event offers a fun, family-friendly way to celebrate the season while connecting with neighbours and enjoying one of Sooke’s local parks.
By bringing your pumpkin to the event, you’re also helping protect local wildlife. Instead of leaving pumpkins outside where they can attract bears and other animals, residents are encouraged to drop them off at the park to become part of the glowing display. After the event, all pumpkins are responsibly collected and donated to a local farm, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
This event is presented by the Friends of Sooke Parks Society in partnership with the District of Sooke and Wild Wise Sooke. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
