Sunriver Nature Trail Temporary Closure: July 28-30, 2026

Please be advised that the Sunriver Nature Trail will be closed from Tuesday, July 28 through Thursday, July 30, 2026.

The area outlined in red on the accompanying map will be closed, with no public access permitted during this time. Please follow all posted signs and remain outside the closure area.

The temporary closure is required to support treatment of invasive knotweed along the Sooke River. The work is being completed by T’Sou-ke Nation, acting as the agent for the Ministry of Forests, under a Pesticide Use Permit issued by the Ministry of Environment and Parks. The treatment is intended to eradicate existing knotweed populations and prevent further spread.

Thank you for your cooperation.
