Traffic Advisory: Local Road Closures for the 2025 Sooke Holiday Parade on Sun, Dec 7

Please be advised of the following road closures in effect for the 2024 Sooke Holiday Parade on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Local road closures will be in place to ensure the safety of parade participants and spectators. 

Road Closures:

• Throup Road from Journey Middle School to Church Road
• Church Road from the Throup/Church Roundabout to Wadams Way
• Wadams Way from Church Road to Townsend Road 

Closure Times: 

Please plan your travel accordingly, as these roads will be inaccessible during the event. We encourage residents to arrive early to enjoy pre-parade festivities starting at 4:00 p.m. at the Vancouver Island Regional Library. 

Whenever possible, please consider arriving by walking, cycling, or carpooling to reduce traffic congestion. 

Parking: 

Parking is available at Sooke Municipal Hall, John Phillips Memorial Park, and Sooke Elementary. 

Please note that parking at Evergreen Centre and Village Centre shopping malls is for customers only.
