Traffic Advisory: Paving Work in Several Areas of Sooke March 17-20 (Weather Permitting)

The District of Sooke advises residents and motorists that paving work will take place Tuesday, March 17 through Friday, March 20 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day at the following locations:

Tuesday, March 17

  • Otter Point Road (between Rhodonite Avenue and John Phillips Memorial Park)
  • Multi-Use Path (MUP) on Wadams Way (east of Anna Marie Road)
  • Charters Road (between Highway 14 and Golledge Avenue)

Wednesday, March 18

  • Eustace Road (near 6715 Eustace Road)
  • Gillespie Road (near 2016 Gillespie Road)

Thursday & Friday, March 19–20

  • Sooke River Road – multiple locations (between Highway 14 and 2279 Sooke River Road)

Single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect in work areas and minor delays should be expected. Traffic control personnel will be on site to guide vehicles safely through the work zones.

This work is weather permitting and schedules may change on short notice. The District will make best efforts to keep the community informed of any changes.

Please plan ahead and allow additional travel time when driving in affected areas, follow posted signage, and obey traffic control personnel.
