Traffic Advisory: Remembrance Day Service in Sooke on Tuesday, November 11

Thursday, November 6, 2025 – Short traffic delays and temporary road closures will occur in Sooke’s town centre to support the Remembrance Day parade and ceremony.

• What: Royal Canadian Legion Branch 54 Remembrance Day parade and service
• When: Tuesday, November 11, 2025
  • Parade starts at 10:35 a.m. from Evergreen Mall and arrives at the Cenotaph at approximately 10:50 a.m.
  • Ceremony follows at the Cenotaph at 6726 Eustace Road

Where & Traffic Impacts (approximate):

• 10:35–11:50 a.m. (rolling delay): Sooke Rd (Highway 14) in the town centre for the parade between Evergreen Mall (6660 Sooke Rd) and Otter Point Road at Eustace Rd. Expect brief delays.
• 10:35 a.m.–12:00 p.m.: Localized closures near the Sooke Cenotaph/Legion (6726 Eustace Rd), including portions of Eustace Rd and nearby side streets with increased pedestrian traffic in area, and to accommodate community service.

Detours & Access:

• Through traffic on Highway 14 should expect intermittent delays through the town centre during the parade window and may wish to travel earlier or later where possible.
• Access for residents, businesses, and emergency vehicles will be maintained where safe to do so.

Transit:

• BC Transit routes serving the town centre may experience delays or short detours during the event window. Please check BC Transit service alerts for the most current information.
