Traffic Advisory: Road Maintenance Work – Otter Point Road on March 26-27

The District of Sooke advises that road maintenance work will take place on Otter Point Road between Rhodonite Drive and Wadams Way on Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Work will include ditching and shouldering along the road edge. Single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect, with traffic control personnel on site. 

This work improves roadside drainage and helps protect the road base by directing water away from the roadway—reducing pooling, erosion, and pavement deterioration. Patching work will follow next week to further improve the road surface. 

Drivers can expect minor delays and are asked to follow all traffic control directions. Residents are encouraged to report road condition concerns and request service online at sooke.ca/request to help identify and respond to priority areas. 

Regular maintenance helps extend the life of our roads and supports a safe, reliable transportation network.
