Westcoast Sooke 10K Road Race on March 8

The District of Sooke is pleased to spotlight the Westcoast Sooke 10K, part of the 2026 Vancouver Island Race Series, taking place Sunday, March 8, 2026. This community road running event features a 10 km main race on a scenic, gently rolling, forested out-and-back course beginning and ending at Edward Milne Community School (6218 Sooke Rd.)

Participants of all abilities are welcome - from walkers and racewalkers to runners and wheelchair athletes - with race distances also including shorter options such as a 1 km kids run. The event offers a welcoming atmosphere for individuals, families and teams.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to join the fun, enjoy the beautiful course, and support this celebration of health, activity and community spirit in Sooke.

Please note temporary traffic impacts are expected along Edward Milne Road, Sooke River Road and parts of Sooke Road during the morning and early afternoon of Sunday, March 8 while the race is underway.
