Climate Action Field Guide
The Sooke Climate Action Field Guide is a practical, easy-to-use resource designed to help residents take meaningful climate action at home, at school, at work, and throughout the community. Whether you're just getting started or building on changes you’ve already made, the guide offers simple steps that make a difference - no matter your budget, time, or experience.
If, together, we can reduce local emissions by 7% per year from 2022 levels, Sooke will be on track to meet its climate action targets. And when many people take small, achievable steps, the cumulative impact is significant - helping us save time, reduce costs, and enhance our overall quality of life while building a more resilient community for everyone.
Inspired by Our Community
Get inspired by this community-created vision for Sooke’s future. We invited residents of all ages to draw the kind of community they want to live in—one that is connected, healthy, and climate-resilient. Together, their artwork tells a story of positive change and a shared commitment to enhancing quality of life in Sooke.
As we work toward reducing local climate emissions by 50% by 2030, this vision reminds us that achieving meaningful progress is a collective effort—and that every action, big or small, helps move us closer to the future we imagine together.
