Otter Point Fire Fighters host Halloween Night at Camp Barnard on Oct 31, 2025. Festivities begin with a 6:30pm Bonfire, followed by 7:30pm fireworks. Families enjoy refreshments, candy for children, and a celebration highlighting regional fire department collaboration.
The Spooky Pumpkin Walk takes place November 1, 5:00–7:30 p.m. at Pineridge Park. Families can display carved pumpkins in a glowing forest trail, support wildlife safety, and enjoy a festive, community-focused evening.
Sooke Spook returns October 25, 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the Sooke Region Museum. This free, family-friendly event features costumes, music, festive displays, interactive activities, and food for purchase, offering a playful evening of Halloween fun and community celebration.
The Halloween Skate takes place October 28, 7:00–8:15 p.m., inviting all ages to enjoy costumed skating, prizes, and spooky music. Regular admission applies, no registration required. Rentals available. Visit seaparc.ca for details and upcoming programs.
One resident was treated for smoke inhalation after an early morning mobile home fire on Kaltasin Road. Sooke Fire Rescue, with mutual aid, contained the fire to one unit and protected neighbouring homes successfully early this morning.
The Friends of Sooke Parks are seeking a third partner to share a heated 10×10 storage unit in Sooke for $55/month, offering daily access and convenient centralized storage for equipment, supplies, and documents.
Community members will gather October 4 at 10 a.m. at Municipal Hall for a Sisters in Spirit Vigil, honouring missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people, and promoting remembrance, solidarity, and reconciliation.

SEAPARC’s Youth Creative Craft Fair (Dec 6, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.) invites ages 7–18 to showcase and sell handmade creations, encouraging creativity, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.
